People may want it depending on price.

What I don't understand is the game they play with pricing.

Does the price change depending who calls? Are they playing the Stillen pricing game ?

If you have a price for something post it, that way people will call if they are interested. If the thing is $8000 dollars people can save their quarter and their time and forgo the call if it's out of their price range.

Just my opinion, but I think a lot of others agree.

no, StrictlyZ isnt playing any pricing games like bigger companies do, they're just trying to get customers who really want it, instead of people saying they want it and do nothing about it.
if you want it, then obviously they're going to call to place an order anyway... thats when you get the prices.

StrictlyZ is run by a bunch of TRUE car enthusiasts that want people to be happy with their cars. They are in a business which sometimes putting out a price will often lead to unfair price gauging by competitors. I mean, they make good products, have great customer support, but if they dont make any money, how are they going to continue to provide excellent products? U know their money goes back into R&D... Kyle and his crew arent like that. they have sound business ethics, no playing pricing games for one.. and that's one of the reasons why i trusted them with my car. if I didnt believe in someone, would I hand over the keys to my car for them to make more products for the community? i think not.

Before an accurate price point can be determined the demand for the product must be determined.

quantity = discount

if only 10 people want one the pricing would be much higher than if 100 want them.

There's no game going on, just a bit of market research.

Default Yeah, sure...

but there are other ways.

Estimate cost : # person hours x salary + materials.

Add a reasonable markup (20% profit?)

Then sample a set of customer to see if the market bears the price. No matter how many people want it, you are not going to do it for a loss... (that is not business).

Remember this is not t-shirts (the more people want it the cheaper because we produce in bulk). This is person-power work (the more people want it the more people I have to hire to do it, or backlog).

I would have to agree with slaponte. This particular part is created by BRUTE effort. Regardless of how many you sell its still the same amount of effort to polish it.

I used to do these and they are quite time consuming. But regardless of if 1 person or 30 people wanted one, it was the same cost. I told each and every person the same amount and same time frame.

Im sure they will post the price eventually.

Default Warning : very non-PC comment

of course, unless you are in Taiwan and you pay $1 for 8 hrs of labor, in which case the price is up to you...

That doesn't make it right, do.

As others, I might be interested depending on price. Not that the hours of work are not worth it, just that I have other things with non-astetic results (read HPs) that I rather spend my $$$ on...

The pictures you posted look extremely good.

Q) Is it hard to keep that polish level up inside the engine compartment?

One of my concerns with this is, yeah, it looks great when you get it, but is it going to be a bear to keep it that way...
