Is the Amuse R1 a comlete system or do I have to buy a front y pipe as well?

The Amuse R1 only comes with the mid-pipe and the exhaust. And does not come with the Y-pipe. I just used my O.E.M y-pipe and it works just fine.

Most exotic sounding exhaust bar none. Great choice man. I am sure the sound justifies the price.

You can buy the y-pipe. Its a full Ti y-pipe with integrated test pipes. Its call the R-1000 y pipe or something. It bolts directly to the header back to the R1 ex. Really pricey though.

I still want one! Just can't bring myself to spend $2k for a Y-back exhaust.

I saw I member here who had a thread on the Amuse Y-pipe it looks sexy as hell. But, the price on the y-pipe is just insane. Top Secret also makes a Y-pipe that matches perfect with this exhaust. But, the price is just not worth it.

Congrats on getting the R1 Exhaust. I'm thinking of getting one for my Z as well. Have some questions to ask. I'm only planning to get the Amuse R1Ti exhaust and going to leave the Y-pipe, CAT and Headers stock. Will the AMUSE exhaust fit properly with my stock Y-pipe?

I'm still thinking about getting a test pipe as i dont want my Z to be too noisy and especially stain the back of my car from the fumes.

How would the exhaust sound if I only use the R1 exhaust and keep everything else stock? Also how much Hp will I gain from only changing the exhaust.

I have my Amuse Ti exhaust with my stock y-pipe, cats, and headers and it works fine with no problems on fitment. And the Amuse will fit fine with your stock Y-pipe. You should not get test pipes as it will make the exhaust louder.

If you want to see how the Amuse exhaust sounds like with everything stock. Just listen to the sound clip I posted on this thread. It should be on the first page of this thread.

You can gain anywhere from 10-15 horsepower on just the exhaust alone. And if you go force induction maybe even more. Just remember you will need to modify your EVAC canistor with this exhaust.

Thanks for the info I've listen to your exhaust clip and if thats how it sounds with stock headers, CAT and Y-pipe then I'm going for it.

I'm planning to stay N/A so I'll have to choose the rest of the setup carefully. Thanks for the advice of the EVAC canistor. Cheers~
