Default Could get a deal on an mrev..

First, I have a 2006 350z. (Rev-up). I am getting a 5/16 motordyne plenum spacer. I am wondering, I have read threads here about how the mrev can take away a decent amount of high-end horsepower when you put it on a rev-up engine. I might be able to get a really good deal on the mrev (not mrev+ or mrev2). Would it be a bad idea to go for it? Are the gains worth it, or is the lost horsepower too much of a con?
(I have searched, I believe this is a more specific question..)

Thanks!

The proper lower plenum for the 287 hp and 300 hp motors is spelled out in detail at motordyne.com.
