My exhaust came with baffels or whatevr you call those things you can screw on to minimize the decibels.. maybe is just to loud for you.. get highflow cats instead. Your working with a NISMO.. now that shouldn't be too loud... to me is just you.. High Flow cats should do the trick if you want a little bit performance wise and sound wise.

It shouldn't be THAT loud. Maybe you can find some kind of silencers. If not, just stuff some towels in there or something to muffle it haha

VN_350z - Why would you trade your HKS (you were kidding right)? Didn't you JUST get it?

It sounds pretty nice and exotic (I have the same exhaust). Its not too loud (even with my mods). If I had a Z I'd trade you.

The test pipes and headers contribute alot to the increased volume but since you do not want to remove mods, throw a resonator on the midpipe like plumpzz suggested. HFC would help the most IMHO.

Get rid of the test pipes and run HF cats. I'm no engineer, but i would imagine the performance difference is minimal between the two. Might as well go with the lesser of the two evils by not adding to pollution.

Quietest exhausts on the market are stock Tanabe Medalion Touring , and possibly the Legalis R (maybe same as the Nismo?).

You could also turbocharge your car. That'll really quiet it up a bit

I dunno if running test pipes is really worth all of the sound, police attention and raspiness they generate if you're going for NA power.
