As he kept saying "x-pipe", I thought he was refering to Magnaflow's x-pipe like this

You will have to know the pipe size and how much space you are working with.

Jack your car up and see.

Anyone done with this fix with stock header and CAT? Some says drone gone completely but I saw others saying drone range went lower to 1k-1.5k. I like my Injen SES but really annoied with drone at 2k. Thanks for the help!

We fabricated an x-pipe for my HKS Hi Power with stock headers and HFC's. It did a pretty good job of eliminating the h-pipe rasp - and helped to net a few more ponies up on the dyno.

For the most part, what you created was an X pipe...

Yeah, that was the intent... We couldn't get the Magnaflow x-pipe to fit right, so we just made a custom one.

I've been extremely happy with it. Great mod.

Sure... The DD was done in Mar of '07 with the h-pipe. The DJ was done in June of '07 with the x-pipe.

People seem to use a range of DJ to DD conversion factors. But most use between 11% to 13%. Pick which ever you feel is relavent.

before & afters:
my DJ to DD correction factor of 11% = +16 whp
my DJ to DD correction factor of 13% = +10 whp
my DJ to DD correction factor of 15% = +05 whp

I actually put it up on the dynojet to confirm additional road tuning tweaks. Just tweaking it for max whp within my target afr & knock thresholds. So the new dyno numbers were also the result of addtional utec tuning... How much of the additional whp was tuning vs. x-pipe mod?

Default Please, I need help.

Hi, I am using a Invidia G200 here in Germany and have a loud rasp from 3.500 rpm on in every gear when I accelerate quickly. I think I have no mufflers like u would call it in English. How can I fix the rasping a bit? The problem is that our regulation department for vehicles here says that if I insert something to slow down the airflow it would result in some kind of too high backpressure which could destroy the engine and is in addition not allowed in Germany. I would be glad for some help. Sorry if I don't use the correct terms maybe. I hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance.

^you could cut off the H-section and put in X-pipe. I believe someone already did this. Try a search maybe?
