Default Crawford Plenum install Issue, PLEASE HELP!

OK first off, I am a MORON! Yes a MORON! Having said that; I got my Polished Plenum from another member here (beddow) THANX again Eric I love it!
Anyway, as I am installing the 4 bolts that go into the lower collector, on the last one, I over tightened and the head popped off, what can I do? Can I leave it?? Or do I need to figure out a way to back it out and replace it? I did finish the install and started it up and it is running perfect (and fast!).
If anyone knows PLEASE let me know....Thanx

Most likely you can remove the remaining part of the bolt with a easy-out kit.

Buy Tap&Die kit, it should be easy to take the bolt out

My advice is that YES, it needs to be replaced. Eventually it could harm the pressure of your plenum.

I believe it's okay to leave it alone, as it only seals that hole from air leaking.

Call Doug at Crawfords at 615-327-4159 from 8-5 CST and get the right answer. He's always glad to help.

purty cool call.

quick Q on your plenum install: did you need any other added bolts, really, other than the 4 that close the lower piece? got Kinetix myself from a guy on here, but it didn't come with any bolts. finding a hard time figuring out what I need before I start the install. any tips?

No I was lucky, Eric sent me everything and then some! So I just took the bolts he sent. It was just the 4 lower collector bolt and the 2 top ones. it took about an hour to do! quite simple....

Could you take pics of your engine bay? I want to know if the Strut clears the injen and if there is enough space for my arc oil catch.

eTraxx: Thanx, I have that but doesn't help my broken bolt problem

Brick-Z: Yeah they are the Gloss Black I love them! Thanx!

Vq.turbo.DremZ: I'll take one as soon as get home. The Crawford Strut does clear the Injen fine, no problems...

OK guys straight from Doug at Crawford..

My question to him:

The lower 4 bolts when putting on your Plenum, I broke the head off of one! The bolt went all the way in with Loctite all around, just the head came off because of my over exuberance! is this OK? Can I drive it or call a tow truck.

Doug:

AS LONG AS THERE IS LOCKTITE ON IT YOU SHOULD BE OK

I hope that when you broke it off that you have the end of the bolt. I've heard of people unknowingly dropping them into the engine. . Also, some people weren't noticing the torque specs. in the directions that were in in/lbs. not ft/lbs.

Yeah Jersey weather blows, well for the last couple of days anyway. If its not too much trouble could you take a couple of pics where the main pipe off the TB connects to the silicone connection? I'm trying to judge the amount of room needed for a different filter. (Section by driver side headlight and stock airbox inlet. I never have been happy with the Injen and AEM oiled filter elements, plus my injen has YET to come in so i have some downtime to look parts while my other parts are in transit. Any help is much appreciated.
