Default Pop Charger road test for stalling problem.

Guys,

I just did another round of testing today for new pop charger. I used 4 different testing senerios:
1)w/o A.C: Accelerate pass 90+ mile, step on clutch, put gear in neutral and still depress the clutch---> Not stall
2)w/o A.C but only FAN: Accelerate pass 90+ mile, step on clutch, put gear in neutral, release clutch(let the car coast) --> Not stall
3) w/o A.C and fan: Accelerate pass 90+ mile, put car in neutral(coast it)--> STALL
4) With A.C and let the car coast --> No Stall.

It seems like the car only stalls w/o A.C fan.

I guess I am gonna turn on the fan from now on (just at the lowest level, I can't even feel the air come out). But it is every interesting wat I find.
Can anyone verify this?

actually, that is true, when i turn on the a/c or the fan alone the rpm rises a lil bit, giving the car a lil bit more power. my a/c or fan is always almost on now everytime. taking off at the light is a lil bit more easier!!!!!! good find thou bro, i never thought anything of it!!!! thought i was having problems with my car!!! he he ............

so you need to let the air from outside in or you have to turn on fan only?

let me see if i got this right, you are saying that if you are driving over 90mph on high way and dont have either the fan or a/c on, the car will stall. that means if i want to drive fast i have to have atleast the fan on.

just turn on the fan at lowest. I notice Z doesn't automatically turn on A/C if it is set at manual fan speed (auto mode turns on A/C when u starts engin)

This is for my car. I am not sure about other Zs out there with pop charger. My Z just stalls when I WOT until i pass 90+ mph. If i slowly accelerate then it's fine. Only happen when I WOT

turning on the fan or a/c will give the engine a lil gas which prevents the car from stalling!!!!!!!!!!! thats what we're trying to say!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try taking the intake duck off and see if that stops the stalling. The one held in by a push pin on the radiator support

Weird thing is that when coast from 90+ mph with fan turn on (lowest level), it just idle perfectly.
Also my Z idles right at 900 rpm with fan on and this is where i want it to idle.
I guess I am gonna have it on from now on.

My friend who happen to be nissan mechanic told me that it actually better for Z to have fan turn on (w/o ac). When fan is turned on, the radiator fan(A/C one) also turns, thus it cools Z down better.

Your car uses more power to run the AC. Remember, that does not mean you have more hp It will slow down your performance a touch.

no, unless u turn on A/C. Turning on the fan doesn't mean A/C on. My Z engine feels the same with fan on (A/C off)

That is a weird test, lol. But sure, drive up to 90mph and let it coast in neutral? I can do that. Doubt anything will happen.
