Default Injen SES TI Installed

So tonight I installed the new Injen exhaust. I noticed on the passenger side, there is nothing to attach the hanger on. There is a screw where it looks like one should be, but nothing there. Should there be one, or is this something I am suppose to buy seperately? Also the drivers side is hitting against the rear sway. Granted, I have aftermarket sways on, but has anyone else had this issue?

Thanks.

Injen should have provided a new hanger bracket with a bolt. It relocates the bushing hanger about 12" back from where the stock location is. I noticed this when my buddy has his installed.

How does it sound? Can you tell a performance increase? Where? I am considering this exhaust or the Borla.

Thanks.

I am selling one for my buddy, because he is changing to a TT setup with a custom 3". The exhaust looks really good in the car and fits awsome. The sound is really deep, and when you open it up it actually becomes alil softer but still an awsome sound. I can tell from driving a z with this exhaust compared to a stock one you get a better responce out of first gear. And there is a better torque feel, and nice when opened up (top end).

Just my opinion....

I think the exhaust sounds awesome. I haven't really opened it up, because it has been raining here, so far the sound is nice. I will try to get some sound clips.

I was wondering the same thing when I installed my Injen exhaust, they are suppose to provide an extra hanger mount so the pipe does not rattle on the sways. I purchased Eibach sways and didn't have a problem with rattles at all. My style is the one before yours which is bolt on and not slip fit. It should be easier for you to adjust the pipes. Does the pipe on the new style come with a hanger like mine?

Yeah, it has hangers on both pipes. I called Injen, and they are suppose to call me back. He told me that I should have gotten a bracket with it for the passenger side pipe. Are you saying you had something for the drivers side pipe too?

No, the additional bracket they provide is only on the passenger side, and If i am correct it mounts right next to the sway bar, either right behind or just in front of, but there is an existing threaded hole that it will bolt into.

You are correct, the other side already has an existing hanger mount which you use. Injen should send that piece out to you if it was missing.

Yeah, I saw the bolt, and wondered if there was suppose to be something there. The only parts I had with the exhaust were 4 bolts, 2 gaskets, and the 2 clamps. Hopefully they will ship that part out to me.

The new hanger bracket and bolt should have come in their own bag. Its not in the same bag as the gaskets / bolts / and clamps

So what is the difference between the SES1985, SES1986 and SES1986TT? Other than the 50mm for the 1985 and 60mm for the 1986 or isn't there any?

Should've gotten HKS Ti instead. You would not have had this problem at the first place.

Now that's some good advise! Obviously you haven't read all the posts about the HKS rubbing on the sway bar, diff, CV's etc. Calling the manufacturer for the bracket they left out is a better idea

Eventhough i had a slight rubbing issue with the exhaust, i only needed a hanger spacer to solve the problem, which it wasn't so hard at all. With Injen, you would actually have to call and get a bracket which they were suppose to have included with the exhaust??? I'd rather stick with HKS..
