The other pictures you posted on your last post were all polished exhaust - these ones don't look polished...

Default You on Bell Rd. Saturday?

I saw a SB making a U turn and heading back west on Bell Rd. about 4pm today. Was that you? I was in the LS going east and waved. I was returning from a good day at the drags and was still feeling pretty euphoric when I saw you! Regards, Jim

Default Paint

Are you going to paint the muffler, etc. with high temp ceramic black paint? That would really look good w/your SB body paint.
I used it on my undercarriage to make the replacement muffler much less obvious. Jim

Im going to weigh the stock exhaust now It feels very heavy. I went off the shipping weight listed on the packing slip for the Stillen. minus the weight of the boxes im guessing high 90s but I could be wrong. That number would be based on the shipping weight being correct. But I can tell you the guy who installed it said the stock felt very heavy compared to the Stillen. I would have to agree the muffler is a beast.
As far as sound I love it. It sounds just like I had hoped it would. It is a lower tone then the stock and when you get on it I think it sounds much better then stock. Im going to take it for another spin now to get an idea on performance. So far i am very happy with Stillens set up.

Default Weight

I weighed my stock muffler and tips and tho they felt much heavier, they weighed 35.5 lbs. This is muffler and tips only. Jim

Here's a question for you...

The stock exhaust incorporates a deflector to control underbody airflow. Since Stillen did not take this into consideration and their muffler canisters actually hang lower than the stock set up, how do you think this new kit will affect underbody turbulence?

Hey get your *** back to the computer and write us a review!
"I'm going out to check the performance"

We won't see him for a while

I'm curious on the performance factor... BTW - how much is the dang thing anyways?

Ok took it out last night with my good friend who has a TT Supra and ran it pretty hard. I am impressed with the performance of the exhaust. Most of the difference is when you push past 3k rpm the car performs much better then with the stock exhaust. Acceleration when you launch the car is nice. The car seems to want to race up thru the gears faster. Acceleration also seems smoother.

I wanted a second opinion so I let my friend drive it. He has driven my car alot. His review was about the same as mine he said xlr8tion was better, and at higher RPM the car seemed to have more push. He also said the tone of the exhaust was much better.

Driving home on the freeway the car sounded better when running at 4k RPM. No droning, and a much better tone then stock. Overall im pleased with the performance of this set up. as far as HP gains im not sure on numbers but it performs the way I was hoping it would so im happy.
