Default stock exhaust bolt sizes...

Installed my stock exhaust tonight but can't find nuts that go on the carriage bolts welded into stock exhaust. What size are they?

Going to be fun driving to the store/work in the morning with these huge exhaust leaks...

No, you can't, because the stock exhaust has carriage bolts welded into it... at least mine does.

Ride your bike to the hdw store, if it falls off or hits the ground, contacts something and melts/damages it it could get expensive.

correct, for the one with studs you can use any NUT...

If there is no stud, then you can use any nut and bolt combination... as long as they are higher strenth bolts... (will save you having to break a bolt off when changing next)

Sorry I should have been more clear...

I think they are 10x1.25 thread pitch...

I know you cant use anysize... but what ever threads on and fits will work...

Sorry I should have made my first post say...

You can use any Nut that has the same thread size and pitch of the exhaust studs when exhaust studs are inplace.

If there is no stud you can use any bolt and nut combination that fits.

I recommend using higher strenth nuts / bolts so the bolts will be easly removed after being used.

I hope this is clearer now... ?
