Do single exit catbacks give better power gains then true duals on a N/A car? Or is it the other way around. I ask because for max performance, I need to have good gains, and light weight. If im looking for the lightest exhaust that give the best gains on a N/A Z, what are my top 3 choices?

Performance-wise - a 2 1/5" dual is the way to go. Weight-wise most setups will be more weight than stock, some are lighter. It really depends on the piping used and other components in the system.

Our stainless dual system is 3lbs lighter than stock. We don't use 18gauge pipe though - it's 16gauge and better quality. If you run our resonated testpipes, you'll save about 8lbs. per testpipe over the stock CATS as well as double your gains in the exhaust system with no rasp or other side effects.

The lightest system out there is the Borla dual - but only a crowd favorite for the price. They use 18gauge pipe and the system drones and has many other issues.

if you havn't taken a look at our 2.5" dual exhaust group buy thread, take a look. people are now starting to recieve and install the exhaust and it is quickly recieving great reviews in sound and performance. the larger 2.5" piping works good for n/a also as our X-pipe design makes the exhaust more effiecient at lower rpms also while not causing any restrictions at high rpms.

So there are no lightweight titanium exhausts that are in my price range? ($1500) Can someone link me to the svrtech group buy, all I can find is the intro thread that just talks about the exhaust. Also, what kind of gains is this exhaust giving people, has anyone done a dyno of it yet?

i weighed the exhaust before i put i ton and w/ test pipes it came to 56 lbs. Pretty damn light for a full TD exhaust from the headers back.

How much does the OEM exhaust weight from header back... like 75 - 80lbs? Ive seen dual exhausts that weight less then 20lbs, don't remember if it was true dual or not tho.

What exhaust give the best low-midrange gains and weighs the same or less then OEM exhaust. I need more options im having a hard time choosing. What kind of gains does the HKS exhaust give and at what area of the power band. Also, is the HKS exhaust lighter or the same as the OEM exhaust?

And for the other exhaust opinions, I don't care about sound, as long as its not loud enough to get me pulled over.

The stock exhaust on a G is 62lbs.

Our system, in stainless is 59lbs. and in aluminized pipe 64lbs. With testpipes you'll save about 16-18lbs. of system weight as well. Depending on the headers, DC Sports are 6lbs. lighter than stock, each.

A good choice for mid-low range torque would probably have to be a Y pipe back exhaust w/ 2.5' piping..however, u'll suffer from power loss at the higher RPMS. An X pipe exhaust will be most efficnent at lower rpms and higher rpms.. check out stillen, IM solutions and my choice, SVRTechnologies.

What about true duals or H pipes?

Ours incorporates a perforated X pipe and is a true dual 2 1/2" system. bottom end loss occurs form 2100-2200 RPM ONLY...

Check the Dyno's on the website...

Thats Y pipe back. Most of the gains are from changing out the Y pipe. Try a catback or headerback exhaust for most gains. 20rwhp/15trq gains are not uncommon w/ a headerback setup.

The new injen is a total rip..sounds just like the old one w/ cheap-o Ti tips. I wish they would build a new design rather than try to fix up the old one.

...I'm guessing that you formerly worked for Injen and have an axe to grind?
