i was thinking of getting custom y-pipe and custom pipeing with the hks universal mufflers.....do you guys think it will be too loud? ive had buddys that get custom exhausts and it came out way too loud,,,

 

...there's ome way to find out. Could be expensive method though. IMO, I'd go with something you can hear first before soaking some $ into an experiment that may not work out. If you like experimenting, go for it.

Why? What is it about a all-in-one-box cat-back exhaust that you do not like?

 

alot of them are well over a thousand dollars for a good system and i dont got that kind of cash

 

thats why you buy used? u can get a borla td or injen for 500 or so?

 

So wait a few months and do it right - don't throw away your money for something you'll regret. Patience...

If you dont have resonators it will be very loud. I suggest going to local meets and listening to others combinations.
