Default Removed DNX exhaust.. put on Fujitsubo LegalisR

So I picked up a LegalisR this weekend for $550 from a local guy. I had enough with my DNX/RS-R copy exhaust..

It's nice and quiet.. some people say it's louder than stock but for the most part I think it's quieter.. it only really gets a little louder at maybe 5000rpm but I can barely hear it with the windows open...

And it doesn't sound like the stock exhaust which I'm not fond of..
It's more of a deep rumble with almost no high frequency tones coming out of it.

I'd post pics but people have seen the exhaust before. :P

Nice exhaust choice! I also recently picked up a used Legalis-R (stainless) from a forum member and I have been really pleased with it so far. One thing I have noticed is that when I start the car cold it sounds pretty much exactly like stock. When I start driving when the car is cold, again it sounds almost exactly like stock. But then as the car warms up, I notice the exhaust note becomes a bit deeper and louder. Not obnoxiously loud or anything, but noticeably louder than stock (to my ears at least). It has an especially deep and satisfying tone around 2k RPM once it gets warmed up, which is nice because it encourages me to keep the RPM low while driving around town to conserver on some energy costs : )

Now the sound vs. temperature variation may be due partly to the JIC y-pipe that I also have installed, but I would imagine it is more dependent on the heating of the material within the resonator and muffler sections of the Fujitsubo system. I will definitely agree with your statement that it eliminates some of the pesky high-pitched noises that come from the stock system and overall it really beefs up the car's sound. It's definitely not the system to buy if you want to wake up the neighbors, but in my opinion it adds just enough umph to the sound to make it tasteful, satisfying, and worthwhile.

If you think its too quiet, add some HFC's or TP's. You should be good to go after that.
