Default Question about headers

I am not up to date anymore about any of this stuff. But my question is, when aftermarket headers are installed on my 350Z does it compromise the legality as far smog rules and regulations? Actually I think California is comming out with smog II, they finaly snuck it through!

actually, thats not your ? s it. I would think, that as long as the Z passes the sniffer test, which headers shouldn't affect, it would also pass the visual, since the headers are buried under everything and the tech wouldn't see them. Other than that, unless the mfgr. applies for a smog exemption, you are screwed.
