Question Idling Issues w/ AEM CAI

I installed an AEM cold air intake (with the new dry filter) this past weekend on my 04 Enthusiast (6MT) and about a day after I started having idling problems. When I am stopped the rpm's go from around 750 down to 500 or even below. After a second or two the rpm's will go back up, but if I am stopped long enough, this process repeats. If I am driving then come to a stop, sometimes the car dies altogether. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I spoke to AEM and they told me to just re-check the install...and so I ask the almighty Z community that is MY350Z.COM for help. PEACE

Obiously check the install again.. make sure you MAF is pointing on the right direction, everything is tight and secure.

thanks for the responses so far guys...and Nexx...i have no idea what the hell you just wrote!! but i am assuming that you like popchargers better than CAI's. Aside from the issue i am having with idling, i do love the CAI...

With a proper install you should not have a problem, I have hade mine installed on my car for about 10 months with no problems,, I also have the by-pass valve, but don't think that should make a differnce.. just peace of mind...Brian

Thanks to all for the replies! Problem solved. The hose that connects to the intake (closest to the intake plenum) somehow popped off and since it is not easily seen i couldnt tell that it popped off. Anyhow, it was reconnected, everything was tightened back up and now we're up and running again.
