I have a '05 enthusiast Z, w/ an AEM CAI. When the car is idling after it's been warmped up, the idle drops every few seconds (which causes the engine to shutter) for a brief moment. Outside of that, the engine feels fine-I've run a 14.1 second 1/4 mi, so it seems that the engine is producing expected power (I say this b/c I would assume that this means the timing isn't off). The car only has 7,500 miles, and beside the intake, nothing else has been done.
thanks
thanks
I had the same thing happen to me. I have an Injen CAI. I was told that the cpu should be reset.

Mine was no different w/ or w/out my AEM CAI. And it's no different now with the JWT.

With their variable valve timing, why can't Nissan get a steady idle?
Don't get me wrong...it's not a crazy idle or anything. But my 94 BMW's idle pegs straight at 500RPM and doesn't waver at all. Not even a little.
My Z "hovers" in an area and dips down every now and then. Nissan told me this "was normal".
