Thanks for the info... I have Borla TD with the Crawford HCs, would the bracing be helpful?

I have the HKS True Dual with Crawford HFC+the Bracing just to be safe.
I used to crack them with my old Nismo Exhaust w/o the Bracing. No problem now.

I would like to know when they will be in stock cuz i would love to get these asap for the roads i travel on are not the smoothest and my suspension is not forgiving at all. Worst thing i want to to have a cracked cat and have to pay money uninstall and reinstall a stock cat and then uninstall and reinstall a new HFC. Major waste of money if that happens.

Question, i have the Crawford HFC and Nismo exhaust, how can you tell if the Cat cracked? is it easy to check with out taking the cats off? This crack problem, can it be fixed by welding it?

FYI, my ultimate racing cats just cracked due to the bracing issue. Bracket snapped right at the weld and now my cat has a hole in it. Looks like they will need the brackets just like the crawfords did. Contacted Ulitmate Racing and they are aware of the problem.

You'll know right away if your Cat's are cracked w/o even taking the cats off.
During idle it'll make noise around your cat area. Try revving your engine,
when the rev drops below 3K RPM the exhaust will make very noticable hissing noise.
Also, when you drive your car, your exhaust will sound like piece of crap fart can.
You can reweld the Cats once it cracks, but chances are it's bound to crack again with Nismo exhaust.

You have three solutions:

1. Get the support bracket(I can't guarantee if this will prevent the crack from Nismo though)
2. Get JIC-Y Pipe(super flexible, way better design than Nismo Y-Pipe)
3. Get a different exhaust.

This is odd. When you sold your crawfords, you said that one of them was dropped and damaged when your friend removed the cats and it was replaced due to a bend in it. Yet 2 months after you sold them, you're saying they were cracked. I guess it was actually a cracked pipe after all and this is why you sold them?? Wonder if the guy that bought them ever caught this.

I have a pair of Crawford HFC's for sale, one of which is used with 2500 miles in excellent condition (drivers side), and the passenger side cat is brand new. The original passenger side cat was damaged after being taken off the car by a friend of mine (dropped it and dented the pipe) so i got a brand new replacement from Doug at Crawford. These HFC's compared to stock have a nice power bump and put out an amazing, deep sound. Asking $350 + shipping. Pictures available upon request.

To check some of my refs, my heatware ID is 05track.
