Default can I do this to the cats?

Looking under the car, I noticed that the honeycomb section doesn't start till right after the O2 sensors. Would it be possible to just cut out the honeycomb section and weld in a test pipe? Or would this screw up the readings somehow?

No one knows?? I'm going in to have my exhaust tweaked in a couple hours. If anyone can answer my question before I head out I'd greatly appreciate it.

Just take a huge metal rod, like a big prybar, and shove it in there and ram it until the cells fall out

Would it be easier to replace the catalytic converters with test pipes?

Actually, as I looked at it again, it would be easier to just get test pipes. That plus headers, and a high flow Y-pipe.

Nothing is easy about installing headers

Why overcomplicate things?

+1 on what davidv said
Get high flow cats or test pipes, whichever suits your needs and hopefully, your state's laws...
