OK, below should be the link directly to the sound clip. You need to have Real Player for it to work.

Sweet! I am waiting for my intake from Paul at Avalon. I ordered the polished system with black filter and tubes. Will you be at Nazar's meet? I would love to see and hear the Stillen exhaust.

what about an issue with water get to the intake? any chance of water getting to it would change my mind to getting just an air intake instaed of a cold air intake. im not trying to have problems with a $30,000 car.

does the Injen even have tone/sound to it? I keep hearing people rant about how the AEM sounds above 3500rpms is great, and even heard / seen some clips of it in action.....but I have not been able to find much of anything on the tone of the Injens sound let alone any clips!?!?

If i'm correct, the Injen makes more of a strong aspiration "woosh" sound while the AEM makes more of a loud growl/air horn sound "woaaaaah!"

the reason the AEM is louder than the Injen on the Z is simply because the AEM is all aluminum as appose to the silicone tube on the Injen. Side note: I have always been pleased with AEM with the exception of the last intake I had on my 02 spec V. The intake broke at both of the welds after only 2k miles, the rubber mounts both broke, and to top it off I ordered the intake directly from AEM and it was missing parts. AEM is a good manufacturer but it is hard for me to recomend them because of my latest experience. I had Injen on my 95 240sx before I swapped to the JDM SR20deT motor and it was a great intake!

I just ordered the AEM. How hard is the install? I am a newb when it comes to working under the hood. Do you have to remove the drives side front tire?

Do you have to do anything to "reset" the ECU after install or does it automatically sense the new intake?

Thanks.

Why do you say that? The Stock ECU senses the variables (air intake, fuel etc.) and adjusts accordingly. It should (at least theoretically) give you some more HP.
