gutting my stock cats on an 06
I have already searched and can find nothing that applies specifically to my question so here goes. If i gut the secondaries on my cats or primaries and secondaries will my car throw a CEL code?

You can get test pipes for cheap. Don't ruin your stock cats. Its guys like you I see in 6 months going.
WTB: Stock Cats PLEASE HELP
Spend the $300 on some quality test pipes so you can have them switched in case of emission issue.
PS. Speaking of emission issues, my girlfriend was complaining last night. I'm gonna need some Enzyte! LOL.

gut only 2ndaries: probably not...this should be just like HFC
gut both: YEs (unless you do the non-fouler trick)
I bought a set of OE cats for $50, gutted them and kept my OE set for later. I did the non-foulers trick and never got a CEL.
It's a PITA to gut them, but for $50, it's worth it. I also like that if anyone looks under the car, they won't see test pipes...
