z tube is the oem intake tube on the Z...you know the pipe that goes from the throttle body to the intake box.

a test pipe is a replacement pipe to where your cats go... usually straight through pipes...sometimes resonated

any other questions you non-search button using newb?(hahah )

if you have a Z, you already have the Z tube. If you don't have the Z, I'll sell you my Z tube

again it is entirely up to you to get test pipes

one is short ram...goes under the hood....absorbs more heat

the other is cold air....sucks in cold air...has been shown to lose low end trq.....

seriously though you have 870 posts...are you really a newb or just retarted(and i mean that in the most respectful way possible)

Classic!
Oh, that made my day.
You don't have to be a car guy to use the search function. I don't like to flame people, so I'll shuddup now.
Hey DavidV... What's it like being in a comma? Is it like having your period?

Have you been in the off topic section for the past 850 posts... j/k. Ask all the questions you want, someone out there will answer them. There are a lot of people who don't understand every nuance of the Z, including myself.

That's why I joined...

I've heard that the cats are the most restrictive part of the exhaust and that test pipes would totally free up the flow in that section giving you substantial gains. So you guys are sure they wont yield any significant horsepower?
