Maybe I'm being naive, but what's the deal? Most people are saying that my question about the turbonator is funny, but some are saying that they actually use and like the product. I would assume that you find my question humorous because the product is bogus, but others would disagree. Can somebody please shoot straight with me? Are they legit or not? It seems like they are not, but people are saying they are, and others just think this question is funny. No need to reply if you are just going to say that my question is funny, because I don't understand why it's funny. USN claims he gained 33 hp from using 2 of these, thereby lending credibility to the product and to my question.

No, of course they aren't legit. They are just playing around and turbonators are just a running joke around here.

Thank you! I was thinking the whole thing sounds stupid, but if others swear by something, I'll at least try it. I will obviously not be trying this out.

I appreciate the straight shooting. You can imagine to a newbie that doesn't know anything about the product, this thread is confusing.

as far as borla being better i cant say, but i can say that putting my borla TD on has been my best bolt on to date. some people say they never felt a difference but i truly did feel more pull from it.

ok so i shouldn't rely on a manufacturers claims. but is borla but even if borla gives me half of what they claim its better than the nismo. So is borla superior or is some other exhaust superior?

I guess you're just willing to take anyone's word for it on the internet.

So I'll just tell you.

In my opinion the optimal setup for a N/A 350Z is an exhaust system with equal length headers, test pipes, and about a 2.25" - 2.5" true dual catback portion of the exhaust.

Second place (again, my opinion) would be to replace the true dual catback with a y-pipe to about a 3" collector and single muffler.

The nismo exhaust has a y-pipe going to a 3" collector but has a dual exit muffler. If anyone can tell me the purpose of having a dual exit muffler on a single exhaust I'm all ears, because I haven't figured it out yet.

So if you're wondering if borla is a more optimal setup than nismo, my guess would be yes.

Ok, I know this is kind jacking this guys thread, but what about intake spacers and the the mrev2 is it, intake. What are peoples thoughts on those. I know since he is a neewb, like myself, he would also benefit from any information on these 2 items working in conjunction with the exhaust.
