Default Thermal Header Wrap

I'm in the market for headers right now (most likely going with the DC polished stainless due to the good reviews and CARB approval) but I'm concerned about the increased under-hood temps so I plan to wrap them with thermo-tec or an equivalent product. My question is, how many feet of header wrap will I need to wrap the pair? Also what width will I need? Thanks in advance.

You can estimate how much you need if you know the total linear length of the 6 primaries. At any rate, header wrap is sold with enough coverage for a typical 4, 6 or 8 cylinder engine. This is not rocket science.

I used the DEI wrap. They definitly work well. You will notice the results. You will need two rolls of 50' by 2". One role for each header.

What I did was cut each role in three equal parts for each tube. Start at the top of each individual tube and work your way down, making sure you overlap each wrap. It will all finish at the main joint.

Also, make sure you get some 4" and 8" stainless steel zip ties. Be carefull with them, they will cut you bad. Might need pliers to get full tightness of each tie.
