it took me 4 daym hours to install this..the hardest part of the install is getting the hoses off the upper plenum and reinstalling the strut bar...but everything else is pretty easy..hopefully the bolts won't get loose..i followed all the instruction and the torque sequence..everything was bolted 100 inch pound..should i be worried of anything? hopefully there's no leak..it sounds fine when i started it and droved the car...
this two mods you can really tell the power added..it pulls harder in my oppinion..hopefully it will lessen my quarter mile
anybody here with this mods lowered there quarter mile? if so how much?

I just did this same install, my car pulls much harder, and it seems to have a rougher vibration in the throttle at low speeds, ( 5-10 mph). Other then that my install took me abut 2 hours and the part i found difficult was the white spacers on the inside of the top plenum, they all fit too loose and would fall of if not held down with screws. I think ill probably reset the ECU to see if i can smooth out the low rpms a little bit. Mine MREV2 and spacer cost me $711.

i don't know the cost of the part..my girlfriend gave it to me as a gift..=) as for the white spacer in the plenum it fitted so nice and tight..it didn't even fall off, just stuck through there...my idle is smooth just like the stock..no vibration at all, so i guess i got lucky..
Abishop: you probably touch the trottle body's butterfly, that's why it's rough on your idle...you just need to reset the ECU using that instructions they give you and hopefully it'll be fine..
so did anyone lowered there quarter mile time with this mods?

Well i have not reset the ecu yet, but i know for a fact i didn't hit the butterfly in the throttle body, strange, i guess it wont hurt to reset the ecu.

I installed the combo last weekend (5/15 spacer, MREV2) on top of my JWT Pop charger that I had installed a few weeks back in my 06 Z.
The biggest difference is definitely in the mid range. If I floor it at about 3.5-4k in first gear the rear tires will now break loose. I also like the difference in sound which is amplified by the pop charger. It has a more agressive sound in the higher rev range.
One thing I noted though is that the car doesn't like to rev as much as it had with the former manifold. It seems to take a bit of time to reach 7k RPM so I now end up short shifting at 6.5k. I'm wondering if the slower reving would actually hurt my 1/4 mile time?

Anyways, has anyone installed this combo on a 287hp engine? What mods needed or was it a direct fit?

No it wouldn't, coz the ECU has already adapted to your new setup. You only reset it when you first install it so the ECU goes to the base map and adapts quicker

If you have dynod your Z and found the A/F ratio to be at or below 13.0, you can install both. If its above 13, just do one or the other (spacer or MREV2).
OTOH the REVUP ECU adapts much more readily to flow modifications so it takes to the combination very well.
