Default interesting question for all w/ test pipes & dual exhaust

so i was thinking about smog legal junk and was thinking. if we put one cat back on and left the test pipe on the other side would it pass smog if you had a dual exhaust and the sniffer was put on the side w/ the cat? just a question cause im being lazy and its easier to remove one test pipe than 2 right.

Well I suppose the probability of the technician picking the correct tailpipe would be 50/50. This is pretty dumb.

that'd mess with your engine really badly...3 cylinders would have more exhaast resistance than the other 3 - you'd probably fail the test with either tail pipe b/c the ECU would be so confused.
