Default AAM vs. MD 5/16 plenums

What is this I'm reading about AAMs plenum being angled? Does that have any effect on the cars performance? In short, which one will give me better gains? Yes, I've searched but didn't find what I'm looking for, so don't waste your time telling me to search.

Thanks!

From everything I've seen, both plenum spacers yeild the same results...AAM's angled plenum spacer has more material on the front sections (making it angled) b/c the front cylinders are the ones that need the extra air - this might help with giving a bit more room for your Strut bar clearance. From everything that I've read, either is a good choice ~ I've dealt mainly with AAM, and their customer service is great!

I don't think there is much of a hp difference between the two, but there might be a price difference.

This is one of the top 5 brand battles we have all seen.

1. Crawford headers vs (Alphawerks, Nismo, DC, etc.)
2. POP charger vs cold air intakes (AEM, Injen)
3. MD Plenum spacer vs AAM Plenum spacer
4. HKS Ti exhaust vs everybody else (Nismo, RSR, Greddy, Top speed, etc.)
5. Seibon CF products vs JDM stuff (Veilside, c-west, top secret, etc.)

Obviously you reviewed the Sport Z magazine Plenum vs Plenum Spacer Shoot-Out. What did you find?

i have aam. install is straight foward, but the fun part was putting on the damn strut bar. but the angle is suppose to add more air in the front cylinders.

I just bought the MD 5/16 ISO Spacer, and I went with MD because of the ISO thermal feature, besides that I think they are almost the same!

Obviousely I haven't, or else it would defeat the purpose of me even posting the thread... In fact, I couldn't even find the article you're talking about.

My question was essentially answered anyway; there isn't much of a difference between plenums. I'm going to go with MD though.
