Yup, that could easily be Borla. Borla is str8 up the best sounding exhaust IMO. He's probably got headers, along with all the other breathing mods. That z sounded beast, good stuff man.

 

if i get a borla td exhaust and some headers... will it sound like that car at WOT? and also, how loud will it be at idle-2500rpm? i dont want it to be loud when im in low rpms..

 

hmm... he could have taken the resonators out of the exhaust and had pipes put in... or test pipes instead of cats. hard to tell.

In january I am going to get my borla welded with straight pipes in instead of the resonators because it is getting raspy as hell not welded.

 

i absolutely hate the leaky flangeless system of the borla exhaust, along with it's persistence to crack at the H pipe

 

Below 3k rpm the borla is very tame, but throaty. I have had my system for well over a year and installed the headers ( Strup ) and cat's a few months back. My ride sounds almost identical to the vid, but not as loud inside the cabin.

 

I was never good at guessing games. Sorry.

hks isnt loud? i dont mind if its loud at WOT.. i just want it to be quiet when i need it to be quiet... ie. passing by a cop... etc..

 

soo borla isnt loud at all until 3k rpm? but just deeper? i had invidia n1, and they were loud all the time, but even from idle to 3 rpm.. if borla sounds close to stock from idle to 3k rpm, im down to get it!! by the way, does anyhone have borla exhaust system living in la crescenta, glendale, or los angeles? thanks.

 

borla is the best sounding when you get hfc...my car constantly gets the thumbs up everywhere i go thanks to the exotic sound. on the other hand borla alone sounds oem almost until you gun it. i have always had borla on all my vehicles (gt,z28, and two silverados ) so im not being fair i guess.........

 

borla is great, get it welded though. mine is not and almost a year has passed and it is really raspy... just needs a little tlc and some welding.
