Default OEM AIR BOX vs INJEN CAI

just finished putting the stock airbox back in . the car pulls so much harder vs the injen intake , my mods are mrev2+spacer , ur pulley , hks hi power exhaust. i think with all the mods i listed works better with the stock airbox and a k&n drop in filter . if you guys have the similar mod go ahead and swap out your intake and install your stock airbox , youll see the different in between stock and aftermarket intake. stock airbox with k&n filter ftw.

p s excuse my poor english lols

+1 ... I did the same thing and saw my 1/4 mi trap speed go up ~3MPH! (I had changed my AEM CAI to a short ram...looks the same as a pop charger)

Seriously doubt you would be able to notice a difference without taking it to the track and getting some times/traps.

If you over oil your filter I am sure your MAF wouldn't like it either
lol

The stock airbox is a good design to begin with so how is this
a surprise, long tubed intakes such as Injen may not be all
that much better then what Nissan designed. That is just my .2

if i did i would have posted it up david . anyways this is my experiment , and i would like to share with you guys here , i did the same test on my 04 . stock air box vs popcharger . but some how the popcharger works better than the 04 airbox . so i guess the 06 airbox is that much better of a design ? anyways this is just my experienced with injen cai and 06 stock airbox .

The difference in gains between the stock filter vs CAI/SRI is so small that it would be just about impossible to feel a difference in acceleration. About the thing you would be able to notice would be the sound.

Unless you have a dyno showing before/after (same day, same dyno) or track times/traps, you cannot correctly say one or the other.

I have stock with K&N. Best intake mod I ever did! Much better than spending $100 on popcharger or any other intakes out there for no gain. Costs me only $50 CND!

I just got rid of my AEM and did a stock box with K&N, it feels the same either way.

Y ea I have test pipes, exhaust, spacer, not the mrev though. just tired of the filter getting wet and having to take it apart.

Besides the "because I said it's so" answer, anything to actually justify your claim?
