Default Ultimate Racing Just sent me ANOTHER set of High Flow Cats!! Whats up?!?!?

hey guys,

so i come home for lunch today and see that i have a package from ultimate racing. I ordered hfc's from them about two months ago and had them installed. I figured they were sending me a little christmas thank you gift or something. When i open the box, I see two new hfc's to my amazement. Why in the world would they do this? Not that I mind at all. Do you guys think that the other ones may have had some problem with them?

Probably just a mistake. You can do the right thing and send them back or you can help a brother out and sell them to me for a really good price.

BTW: repost

+1. If you made the same mistake, you would appreciate it if the receiver sent back your merchandise as well. Do on to others...

Make sure your not getting billed twice, if they catch their mistake you might. I would just be honest and return them, if they tell you just to keep them then thats a different story. How much are you asking for them BTW?

If i was you, i would hold on to them and make sure your not getting charged twice for them. And if not, sell them and make some money!!

Its not your fault their inventory guy or whoever is in charge of shipping orders can't get it right... haha

I guess inventory people are in need of a vacation. I just received a fiberglass front fascia for a Mercedes Benz today! It turns out that they are the same people that shipped out my CF hood. They accidently stuck a duplicate tag on this box. I could have put it on ebay, but instead I just called them and told them about the mistake. They are picking it up on monday. They were really grateful that I called, as I'm sure this is a pricey piece.

To the OP, I know I said I wanted them, but Karma is a b!tch. Just return them back to the company. ( you might actually save someone their job)

http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/...s/unorderd.htm

Q. Am I obligated to return or pay for merchandise I never ordered?

A. No. If you receive merchandise that you didn’t order, you have a legal right to keep it as a free gift.

Q. Must I notify the seller if I keep unordered merchandise without paying for it?

A. You have no legal obligation to notify the seller. However, it is a good idea to write a letter to the company stating that you didn’t order the item and, therefore, you have a legal right to keep it for free. This may discourage the seller from sending you bills or dunning notices, or it may help clear up an honest error. Send your letter by certified mail. Keep the return receipt and a copy of the letter for your records. You may need it later.

Q. What should I do if the unordered merchandise I received was the result of an honest shipping error?

A. Write the seller and offer to return the merchandise, provided the seller pays for postage and handling. Give the seller a specific and reasonable amount of time (say 30 days) to pick up the merchandise or arrange to have it returned at no expense to you. Tell the seller that you reserve the right to keep the merchandise or dispose of it after the specified time has passed.

That's the hot ticket right there. What if the company made a mistake NOT in your favor? You'd be cussing, ranting, raving and demanding someone be hung and quartered. But since it's in your favor their loss? I love how our society is totally obsessed with ****ing over the next guy. As long as it's not you, right? Oh well... karma is a beyotch.

you really want to get someone fired this christmas? just send them back!

hell, if your gonna sell them at least sell them cheap lik 50% off. Its the least you could do to pass on a favor and maybe get some better karma.

good karma story for the night:

About 2 months ago, a set of packages was delivered to my apt. they mistaked a 8 for a 6 somehow. Using facebook, i found the phone number of the person who was supposed to get the boxes. I called him and told him he could pick them up. I got a free six pack of XX and a clean conscious. Id be hella pissed if i lost a package that way.
