Default Resonated Test Pipes

Just bought a set of resenated test pipes. Now I'm reading that your exhaust will smell bad. how bad is it really ?

Whatever odors that are not eliminated by the catalytic converters will come out the tailpipes.

Very bad..Depending on the color of your Z, there might be some residue on your rear bumper from the fumes.

I have a CS and it gets on the bumper, the smell is not that too bad. Its def there though

just got mine installed.its been about a month now i can definatelty smell mine while iam at the stop light.real bad while getting in the garage.i would compare it to a motorcycle.but it sounds awsome verry happy with it exept for smell.

my wife hates the smell...but it doesn't bother me much.

+1 It's not that bad. I have an 82 pickup with a 454 BB and my exhaust consists of big tube headers and a pair of dynomax race muffler 4in and out.

Smell does not bother me at all even with the windows down. I'm in the process of trying to get some for the Z.

**it'll smell the worst for the first 10-15 minutes...make sure you start it up outside. Most exhausts come with some grease on them, which will need to burn off - when I first started mine up, the exhaust had some greyish color to it...it made my black bumper a little white near the exhaust tips. But all of that goes away after awhile.

I was thinking about adding test pipes to my stock exhuast for some increased hp. but wondering about the sound on a stocker. And wondering about cels. Thats the only thing that makes me look at hi flow cats the damn cels.

the tp i bought came with non foulers from fujita.you can make your own.but as far as the sound on a stocker i love it.
