Default Injen CAI unsafe?

hey guys i got the 1985 injen CAI on my car right now
i recently got a new lip and another oem bumper with the grille cut off
it got me thinking as i drove home in light showers, isnt where the filter located unsafe?
i mean grille or not, if theres a huge *** puddle and someone beside me driving gunned it and the water splashed on the front bumper, theoretically, its over right?

If you have concerns about ingesting water into the motor get a different intake.

get a bypass valve if you want to keep your intake but not worry about hydro-locking your engine.

+1...if u still feel unsafe (eventhough you shouldn't) just get an adapter plate at an auto store and use a SRi design. All of my friends have got CAI's...in different cars 1 including a Z (with no problems) and well none have problems except for one...he has a Celica...and well he drove Kamakizied into a enourmous puddle (GF demanded ...with water levels the begining of his CF hood) his CAI took in the water
