And that in car vid the exhaust sounds loud as hell. Do you have test pipes?

 

does sound pretty loud...also in the first vid of it up close...there is a lot of rasp or something at the end of the revs.

 

test pipes are on the car, i dont know of any power gains as its not my car. IMO for the money its not a bad setup.

 

Yea that is what i thought. That is loud as hell from inside the cabin. Not sure I could deal with that.

mine is way more quiet than his is , but then again i don't have the test pipes. To be honest i like how his sounds better. It sounds down right mean with those test pipes

 

It definitely doesn't sound bad. Don't like that weird sound at the end though. Perhaps, resonated TPs might help.

from the video, it sounds different from my exhaust (I have HKS). sounds deeper than the HKS. not bad

 

i dont know the brand its not my car, I do know there are resonated test pipes on the car. I think rob will be putting some kind of x-pipe on the car to get the rasp out of the top end.

 

Its loud but I have the APS 3" exhaust and its about the same, if you go with a total 3" setup with any kind of test pipes expect it to be loud.

The car in the vid is mine. In the close up shot, that noise when I let off was not actually the exhaust, but something to do with the camera.. Im not sure, it was real windy. Anyway that is the HKS knock off from XO2 racing, with a set of their resonated test pipes. As I stated in another post somewhere, the exhaust is loud, and too loud inside the cabin. there is an ugly rasp from 4000 to 5000 rpms, but only under full throttle. at half throttle its not that bad. I am installing the magnaflow x-pipe muffler in the mid section of the system, and then we can try and get that vid on here too. Sorry, no dyno yet, and not worth dynoing the car just to see what my pipes got me. As far as power gains, not too much different overall, and it feels like the low-end torque suffered a little. the x-pipe should help that. sorry it took so long for the vids... ryan (danisr1) had to hand me a camera, and light a fire under my a$$ to get it done. (he's my wife's boss....)

 

hey...did u ever install this without the test pipes?...i wonder how loud it would be then.
