I've got a copy of the HKS true dual off Ebay. It was a B'stard to fit though. It looks a good copy and the welds are very neat and tidy.

Now it is off to the dyno to have an UTEC fitted and played with.

Hook us up w/ some pics of fitment and sound clips! Are these the ones SSautochrome sells? I know their turbo manifolds tend to last about a month before the welds crack.

Getting the pipes eitherside of the diff was awkward as it affects the lining up of the rear boxes.

Fitted it without a lift so was crawling around under the car with it up on stands!

If you can get it up in the air and have an extra pair of hands to help, you shouldn't have a prob.

Sounds good too but seems to be mellowing as it 'runs in'.

The butt dyno hasn't yet detected a massive difference but once the ECU is sorted, I'll post again.

Mine has been installed since christmas, and I installed it with a set of resonated test pipes, at the same time. I had no problems with the fitment, and the hardest part was taking off the stock system. Test pipes were kinda tough. Anyway, the system is LOUD. As others have said, the dual exhaust with test pipes gets kinda raspy between 4000 and 5000 rpm. I plan on installing a magnaflow x-pipe in the middle to eliminate the rasp, and quiet down some of the droning. I have about 500 miles on the system so far, and it has quieted down a little, but it still needs work. I got back under there for an oil change the other day, and all the welds are fine, at everything looks great. Overall, I like the sound. It is deep, and unless im beating it at WOT, it sounds pretty mellow. Sorry, no vids yet.

I heard that they're much heaviler than authentics, is that true? I saw the burnt tips that are black, and not blue . welding looks a bit shady as well.

dcrobfukk wut would you compare the exhaust to in loudness? Is it loud due to the test pipes or just the exhaust in general?

I wont let you guys down and will try to get it up on friday or saturday. To me it looks like my APS 3" but I have not heard it yet. If it sounds like mine it will be loud.

Meaning, its reached the mythical status, lol. I'm curious too, I have the real thing and from the looks of it I think I overpaid, so I'm hoping for some flaws, lol. Is the tips really black or was that a bad pic angle?
