Xerd headers????
Anyone here have them? If so, how was the installation?
If no one here has them, why??? Fear of the unknown? Cost? Not in stock/business anymore??
Is there anyone else that makes a true LONG TUBE header? I've done the searches and Crawford is not a long tube. If it bolts up to the factory Cats/test pipe it is a shorty.
XERD Long Tubes:
Crawford:
Note the difference in length of the tubes.

Crawfords make more power, but are difficult to install. The xerd headers are long tubes so it replaces the headers and cats. The xerd ones are made to order so you have to wait till they make it. Plus, 350EVO used to run xerd in their race Z's but they switched to Crawford for more power. Both are great headers.

Thats the thing, you lose all the low to midrange torque with long tubes. Crawfords keep the torque where you need it.

I have the XERD long-tube headers. I got them jet-hot coated. When I installed them, I felt a good gain in the 3.5k+ rpm range, but a small loss before.
I currently have K&N typhoon, Kinetix SSV, xerd long-tubes, and greddy evo2. It is *extremely free-flowing and pulls MUCH harder to 7100rpm than stock. I'm getting a tune some time this month should be interesting then.

Does anybody know of any install issues with the Xerd longtubes for the 06's with the new steering setup? Also, the diameter of the Xerd is supposedly 2.5" which would be nice with my Fast Intentions exhaust, can anybody confirm the sizing of the tubes? Finally, what are the sizes of the tubes on the Crawford headers?
fairladyzboost I believe there are longtubes on ebay every once in a while.
