Default Tanabe Hyper Medalion + STRUP Sound Clip

Keep in mind -- unedited. Pardon the dogs in the beginning. xD

I could not go out and tape the Z running around so you can hear it, because there are so many kids out playing at the moment ... I don't want any of them to get hurt if something were to happen. And it'll be downpouring soon. Keep safey in mind ...

Review
Hey guys, I just got my new exhaust combo done after swapping out my PIT Dual N1 exhaust. I decided on the swap, because the PIT was getting old for me. After around 7K miles, I decided I didn't want these canisters anymore. I wanted to go to a stock look, with a little smaller piping for all motor.

First off, the fumes for test pipes are not bad at all. Everyone is making a big deal of it, so I expected to be discusted during the first day. Not the case. I barely even smell it. So little, I forgot about it already. The only time I can, is inside of a closed area like a garage. Otherwise, nothing. The only fumes I've had come out the back of the car, is on the very first day when the WD40 was being burnt after install. Otherwise, barely anything at all unless I suddenly smash on the gas.

There is rasp above 4K, but the massive resonator in the mid pipe from the Tanabe exhaust mutes some of it. It sounds very racing spirited, and very mellow under or around 2K. Cruising it's just fine. Highway -- little drone. I can still listen to the radio on 10 volume and hear it just fine. But I often do not turn it on anymore, just to listen to the exhaust note.

9 stars out of 10

+1

Alot of people seem to complain about the smell. I forget I have Tp on sometimes. I drive with the windows down and when I come to a light I hardly smell a thing.

BTW exhaust sounds good.

The Tanabe looks and sounds great.

I have the same hissing sound that yours does with my tp's but i still have stock exhaust. I dont really mind the smell either and hardly notice it unless Im in my garage.

Yeah! That hissing sound is kind of nice sometimes. I really don't mind it either. I just love how it coughs upon deceleration in third gear (I think.) Maybe second.

Be careful with test pipes on your stock exhaust. I heard it can blow some of the fiberglass packing from the inside of it out. Just keep an eye on it!

Negative, it is not a true dual. It runs off a Y pipe.

Sounds NICE! I received my Tanabe Hyper exhaust and am just waiting for my y-pipe to come in. But of course I will be off factory cats for right now.

It's an amazing exhaust system. Good choice and wise purchase! The Y pipe just finishes it off and makes a nice addition. The quality is top knotch!

I can't wait to get it installed, I wonder how much of a sound difference there will be going from a true dual Injen to the Tanabe Hyper........it's hard to tell on internet sound clips.

I can probably tell you right away ---Tanabe is going to be a lot more reserved and silent.

Boy am I late in responding. On my first rev, it was probably around 3K. My last rev was to redline.

My exhaust is just as loud as I bought it, so there is not a build up yet as I predicted in the pipping.

Also, my exhaust tips are being burnt like the HKS Ti from all the gases when I drive, lol. It actually looks good too. It's the blue fade from the exhaust.

It hasn't got on my rear bumper at all. I still love to redline the car with this exhaust note. The gains are spot on.

They are unresonated. But the resonator in our midpipe from Tanabe helps!
