Default My first mods..couple questions

Ok..I am going to grap my first power mods this month..
**** I will be F.I with in the next 8 months*****

so with that being said heres what I am getting...

Mrev2 w/spacer..not sure if aam spacer or mdyne..either way no biggie.

Testpipes..not sure which brand..no cats though.

Looking at hks hi power...but heres my question...

Will I notice a huge hp loss in midrange from a 3" with these mods..or should I get the 2.5"...now I will be F.I very soon...I know 3" is the way to go for that. But will 2.5 bottleneck me badly ?...and lastly does the true dual come w/the y-pipe?...I want a full exhaust when its said and done..minus downpipes...get those when I go turbo.

I have searched...so any extra help here will be appreciated..

Thanks
Will

MREV2 and MD 5/16 spacer - this space/mrev combo makes a nice gain.

Vendors on this site carry test pipes, search the market place a bit....last time I checked, Partsshipper had Strup TP's for $160 shipped, brand new.

HKS Hipower - looks/sounds nice, but expensive.

True-duals are true duals, there are no y-pipes (at least with the Injen catback that I had).

Are you going twins, or single, or s/c?

Good luck Will

Thanks man..Im still searching for what brands I want..

I do like the hks...look..is phenominal..so w/true duals theres no need for the y pipe..cool..

But what about the piping question ?...does the hks come in diff sizes ?...

I am going probably twin aps extreme...but I am still researching..

13SECZ, are you going twin turbo, single turbo or SC. If your going with a twin turbo system I would go with the 3in.

IMO the hks hi power would be fine if you are not going ***** to the wall with the FI setup. I am also going to be getting a Greddy TT kit in the next few months and I went w/ the HKS hi power knock off which cost me $670 shipped and looks just as good and IMO sounds better than the real one.(check the other threads for more info). One of the reasons i decided against the dual 3" because of the fittment issues i had read about that accompany them (i can't stand exhaust rattles).

2.5 will be just fine, even with FI. There won't be restrictions until you're pretty up there in the power level.
