Just to let you know if you are welding titanium it is extremely expensive to do properly as it must be completey shielded as in a shielded room not just shielding gas. It likes to get impurities in it. While it is still possible to weld with out it will not have the structural integrity that say steel would have without complete shielding.

Before you spend lots of money you may want to search for some of the fabrication techniques required to fabricate titanium properly and strongly so that you know what you are getting into and if you have enough money who you need to find.

I believe that Carrol Smith has some really good information on titanium fabrication regarding exhaust and chassis structures floating around somewhere.

Would be cool. Titanium is expensive though and as mentioned above, requires lots of skill and specific environments for fabrication.

to properly weld Titanium, you need to put it in a vacuum chamber. I get to play with it once in a while

Exactlty what I was talking about. Very very expensive and the number of shops that can legitamitly weld titanium are few are far between.
