im looking for performance between the 2. i dont get much rain over here either. (that goes for the people submitting the problems with the typhoon).

Typhoon gets my vote. I had a popcharger, took it off after a month and that was the end of it.

I have a popcharger and have been very happy with it. Do you plan on getting a vented hood any time down the road? Some of the vented hoods have vents just above the JWT filter. The Stillen and K&N Typhoon intakes have a cover over the filter and that may be a deciding factor if you are going to get a vented hood, for weather/rain purposes. Don't want to get water on your intake filter. Just an FYI.

Stillen is offering free shipping till the end of the month. I wrote a review on it. It should be down a couple of threads.

edit: here it is https://my350z.com/forum/intake-exhaust/243953-stillen-cai-review.html

Vented hoods do serve a purpose, TO COOL down the engine! Cooler engine =more usable power

Where do you want air to come from? Under the hood or outside the engine bay? The choice is simple.

I think Stillen and Varis airduct would be a better combo. I've never seen it before in person but the Stillen is supposed to do a better job of insulating the filter from the engine bay heat.

While moving there isn't much wrong with that, and the Varis would be just icing on the cake since the intake temp with JWT is great....while moving. It's when you aren't moving that JWT ingests the engine bay heat and the Varis would have a very limited effect in reducing the heat while stationary so I don't think it would be a big benefit at all with JWT.
