Thumbs up my review of the obx ehaust

i did get it from ebay, looks, fits, and sounds great. although its not louder then stock at all. its alot deeper sounding, its actually i little quieter at idle and low rpms but a little louder than stock at high rpms. i've had it on about 15,000 mi and is still great. the only thing is it didn't come with hardware or gaskets, it was supposed to though, but the box was damaged so watch out want vendor u get it from. performance wise it was great, its a full 3in so don't do test pipes or u will have to much flow like i did just last week. but its so free flowing its basically like having both a 2.5" exhaust and test pipes anyway. i did lose a little torque down low from like 1k-3k but still has a lot, and above 5k it absoultely kills the stock one perfomance wise. i acually put the stock one back on at one point but while it did have a little more pull low end, the top end 5k plus felt like it was chokeing and just didn't pull anywhere near like it did. i switched back quickly and couldn't be happier. overall i do recomed it if u dont want a loud exhaust and do want performace and looks.

dyno sheets to show these losses and gains would be helpful for everyone.

I had an obx exhaust i got it for 100$ so i had to try it for fun. It fits like crap on a 2006. The tips would rattle to no end. I left negative feed back and my money back from those idiots. Now i have a PIT exhaust much better quality. No rattles , fits perfect. Found it for 200$ on ebay, so still cheaper than a name brand.

BTW i threw away the obx exhaust. The mid pipe on it is full 3" though and going into the muffler is 3".

The OBX is a 3" single system, like the Nismo.

If it's like the Nismo, then it would be ok.

You should throw it away before the rattles start.

i do plan on getting a tanabe exhaust in the summer, but it's been 15,000 miles without rattles or problems.

P.S. u don't have to be mean about it, mabye urs wasn't installed right, or it dosen't go well with the 06, and its unlikely for the tips to rattle the muffler pipes to tips assembly is all one piece. and if it did u said u got it used so theres no knowing what that exhaust went threw, friend or stranger it could have been abused without them telling u.

i'm just informing people that my experience with this cheap exhaust was acually good. usually u get what u pay for but not always, sometimes u luck out. so theres no need to bash.

Look inside your tips. There is a peice of metal in there that is seprate from them. It wasnt attached on mine so it rattled around. JB weld fixed it untill i got another muffler. I didnt get it used it was new. I also got my pit exhaust for 200$ shipped, and it came new. . Just keep watching ebay for the cheap suff because sometimes they overstock it and sell it dirt cheap.

Usually right when they come out with a knock off exhaust its really cheap. I think the shipping was like 50$ or so on it. Now one of my vibrant resonaters broke so i put my cats and stock y pipe back on. 70$ resonater split in half, where there was no weld. So expensive is not always better. It actually broke in the same exact spot the megan one did.

thats sucks, i think the test pipes and high flow cats without the support bracket contributes to some of the exhaust parts breaking, especially the cheap exhaust stuff. before and after i installed my test pipes (no bracket) i had my friend rev the engine while i watched under neath the car, and once i put those tests pipes on there, holly ****, the exhaust twist and moves about 1" up and down. now maybe some higher quality test pipes, y pipe, or exhaust can hold that vs the cheaper ones can't, but i assure u its not good for it either way. we put the stock cats back on again about 4 days later and sure enoghf barely any movement again, and not more twisting.
