If the sound of the K&N is comparable to that of the pop charger then I'd def. do it. Stock sound sucks in comparison to pop charger to the point that the miniscule difference in performance isn't worth sacraficing the difference in sound. I have never heard a Z with the K&N.

Ohhh, cool. Under WOT, I can hear the intake twice as loud as the oem filter, but only half as loud as my old poop charger.

Sound = poop charger > dropin > oem filter

I dont care about intake sound either, it's all performance for me.

Gothchick, Excellent Info, I think I am sold on the Amsoil's filters, but how about other companies such as Nismo?

Another thing about foam filters that makes me paranoid is that over time, the foam breaks apart and enters the engine...

Its all about performance to me. I ditched my popcharger in favor of an 06 airbox, since Ive heard so many good things about them. Im not too sure how much I gained, but I ordered a brand new Popcharger, and if its here by Saturday, I will compare the two at the track. I dont go to the dyno, I go to the track. And whatever intake produces a higher trap speed will stay!

Default Pop Charger

I don't care about the sound but was hoping with my first Mod to gain something the car just boggs now until I get the RPM's up.
I think I will go with a stage 3 stillen supercharger and call it a day.
Comes with a 3 year warrenty.
