lets say i wanted to get a downpipe and y pipe and i already have headers but i want to keep my stock exhaust, would i be facing any problems like exhaust bottleneck or anything else? if i dont change the exhaust will there still be that dramatic improvement?

 

If you replace the headers, catalytic converters and y-pipe, all that you have left is the OEM muffler. Why not just get a cat-back exhaust.

 

Unless you have a turbo(s) you don't have a donwpipe.

You will get benefit, mostly in TQ, not HP. The catback will make all work best together.
