Also how loud is the aps 3" compared to something like the topspeed pro-1. does it drone as bad as the pro1?
You don't need the EVO TT for NA. I also believe the HKS is louder, the EVO TT is a little deeper.

A friend has the APS 3" with 2.5" TP's on a JWT TT and the car unbearable... Way way to loud for my taste; even at idle... I have the AAM dual and it much quieter than the APS... I may be switchin to the Greddy as well... We will see.

Yeah hey Rob Im gonna guess your talking about my car lol....yeah APS is REALLY loud I definately haven't heard a louder one. I love it though but my girl and my other passengers usually don't. Greddy sounds good too but much quieter. AAM is probably a happy median between the two

I will be installing a Greddy TT kit along with a built block in about a month..just trying to get all my parts ready..thats why I am switching exhausts..I just wanted to make sure if I switch to the Greddy Evo TT, it will still end up being louder than the HKS ti TD that I have now.

Yea, I would still love to hear some clips if you can. I was actually thinking about getting open dumps, but havent decided on that yet either. Maybe some partial throttle and full throttle clips would help me out if you get some free time

Yea, the AAM was the only other exhaust I was considering besides these two but I havent heard much about it. I have only heard the single and dyno videos clips. Do you have any clips of your car driving/fly by's? Im basically trying to get a better understanding of the level and tone of these three exhausts compared to what I got now. It sucks not being close to anyone who has a turbo'd Z

So I guess it would go like this...quiet to loud:

HKS TD Ti
Greddy EVO TT (So is this louder than the HKS or bout the same?)
AAM 3"
APS 3"

I'll get a vid when we put it on the dyno here for some tuning. Should be within a week hopefully. If you do a search I did put up a vid when I first got the exhaust.

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....hlight=exhaust

I think the vid is still up

Yea, I found that vid a few days ago. From the clips sounds nice, I just cant make a good decision without hearing the exhaust under load...

So I guess it would go like this...quiet to loud:

HKS TD Ti
Greddy EVO TT (So is this louder than the HKS or bout the same?)
AAM 3"
APS 3"

Personally if you are concerned about an exhaust being too loud, the APS 3" is not for you. As far as I am concerned, It is unbearable for anything other than a 100% track car. at cruise, forget about listening to the radio, talking to a passenger, or using your cell.

If you are looking for a decent FI exhaust with a controlled exhaust note I would look at the following:

APS 2.5" - flows decent, sounds good, but looks stockish
Greddy TT - The drawback to this exhaust is the taper at the point it bolts up to the cats/test pipes
Fast intentions exhaust - their quality is great and I am confident their 2.5" is a true performer

IMHO, the HKS isn't the ideal choice for FI. Yes, you can run it, but I feel any of the three I listed above will be a MUCH better choice

Since I switched from the APS to the Greddy recently, I'll tell you I couldn't be happier. Sounds more mellow, the exhaust tips are finished better, and my neighbors don't glare at me when I leave for work in the morning.
I haven't had a chance to put it back on the dyno. I drove three hours to Seattle for the Golden Gardens NW Nissan meet this weekend and could hear the stereo and my wife. That's a good thing, right?

Hard to say. I've been running the same plugs for 12 months and I think there's been some gradual degradation. I drive around on low boost 99% of the time anyway. It's not like I need a lot of power to lose traction with all the rain we've had. My driveway is growing moss
