Default What intake is best the auto Tranny?

Guys, I bought a S-tuned Nismo exhaust and I want to know which intake would go the best with it? I am having an automatic transmission. I read some magazine that they claimed choosing an intake for automatic should be different, do you guys have any good suggestion?

There is no reason to have a different intake based on transmission. What magazine is this??

I've NEVER heard that an AT makes a difference on which intake to buy. Buy the one that fits your needs the best.

Yes, the best intake for an automatic would be an Injen Pipe with a turbonator vortex installed and a KNN Cone filter.

I run this configuration and it seems a lot more responsive than my friends JWT popcharger on his auto

the STOCK intake is the best, along with a drop in k&n filter.

There shouldn't be any functional difference between a CAI for an AT or MT. The only thing that might concern you would be fit. If there is a significant design issue regarding the fit then there might be seperate designs for the AT and MT version of the same car model.

I have an automatic and I got the NISMO cold air intake. Fits great, and sounds good in the high rpm range. You have to move a fuse box, but the instructions that come with the intake walk you through that with ease.

He's actually right. We dynoed a couple different @ the shop same day, same car. K&N drop in gained 8 hp while the best a cold air intake could only manage 5hp.

So the Drop in K&N filter is just a replacement of the stock air filter? Will it make a sound different? Where I can get those?

Please stop paying for that magazine, and post which one it is so we can all do the same.
