I just installed a used V4 plenum. SOP says that the increase of power is at
5k rpm and up. Low end seems a bit softer. Engine noise at Idle is more pronounced (not sure if I like that). Has anyone else experianced the same ?
I know some of you hate this thing so don't flame me , I only paid a $100.00 for it. install was childs play.

Sorry but I can’t tell a thing without before and after dyno tests.

 

I have one. I didn't notice any loss at the bottom end with it. Give the car time to adjust to it. Increase in noise is normal.

 

What type of engine noise increase? Exhaust noise, or actual engine/valve train noise??

 

I never felt a loss of power when I had the V4. I definitely noticed the increased idle noise, but I thought it just made the car sound pissed!
