HELP! Lower plenum is STUCK
I am trading in my 06 for an 07 and I am in the process of removing my MREV2 and spacer to install on my wife's 06 Z.
Well, I had the ISO-Thermal kit and the stupid Aramid gasket has basically glued the lower plenum to the intake manifold/block. it will not budge!
How hard can I beat on it with a rubber mallet before it breaks?
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Try giving it little love taps from all directions to free it up. Top, sides, under if you can? Stupid question, but i have to ask, are you sure you removed ALL the bolts first?? I can't emagine you'd hurt anything if its just the gasket holding it down. Maybe try some tiny amounts of gasket remover? But if you do, MAKE SURE you don't get that stuff on/in anything else. Powerfull stuff.

Also stuck
I was puzzled for a bit as the lower plenum was stuck with the isothermal gasket. Thought the guidepins had to be removed but no. Light taps here and there broke it free.
I threw a towel on the bolt of the metal bracket, left side where the pcv tube nipple is. Plastic mallet broke it free in 2 taps at that bolt.
