..he has a Revup motor right? well then a MREV2 lower collector will make a huge difference. basically the accleration isnt noticeable with the revup engine...its very smooth and before ya know it you're doin 90...if you throw on the MREV2 with the spacer it'll push you back in the seat a whole lot harder and that 90 mph mark will come and much quicker as well.

+1 let's see the dyno

after posting a new thread about basically every intake/exhaust part ever created, now he actually has something on his car. let's see those #'s.

Damn I thought the MREV was suppose to work quite well on the 287. Maybe I read wrong. That was one of my near future mods. Damn.

dude i don't think anyone has a definitive answer on the whole mrev2 vs spacer thing but I've heard from tony himself at motordyne and it says on there website that the spacer is the best bang for the buck on a 287

MREV does indeed work well on the 287 engine. In fact, it makes more area under the curve and more TQ than a spacer. But it costs more and thus the spacer has a better (power/$) value.

In the case of the REVUP engine, the MREV/spacer combo makes a lot more TQ and area under the curve. Its a mod definetly worth doing on the REVUP.

No. I'm just saying that the spacer has a better bang for the buck on the 287 engine.

The MREV2 makes greater area under the curve, but dollar for dollar the spacer has a better value.

If you are like some hard core enthusiasts or trackers on here (who only want the most gains) then that changes things... In this case, the spacer and MREV2 with a tune is clearly the best that can be done.

For some who race their 287 HP Z, the added cost of the MREV2 is not an issue.

I got a noticeable gain across the entire powerband when I installed the MREV and spacer

BTW Tony, thats for the help with the coolant issue. I found out that the those was a little loose on one of the connections and dripped onto the old connection and made it look like it was leaking from there
