here is a pic of the little tube right before it was sent, it's straight down, you should also post up the pics of the all the protective plastic it was wrapped in, and of the box. it had to be done by the shipping, the only way to ship to HI is by air in which it was next day so im sure they werent real gentle w/it. I have tried to bend over backwards to help you out. and had this sold to other people that i wouldnt have had to go through all the shipping bs, and have a core. so for you to try an act like i havent tried to help the situation is not cool. I shuld have never even bothered sending this to you in HI since your avatar oringinally stated Nashville TN???

Geez...you should be able to send it back!!! Sounds to me...it wasn't right in the first place. Good Luck!

BTW Do what you have to do with your vendor first...if not satisfied, I would bring out your complaint in the open forum discussion again.

It doesn't look like he was trying to call you out, just trying to get a fix for his situation....

It has been several weeks??? since ive heard anymore about this, i thought it was taking care of. I know for sure the tubes were not bent before shipment. I have suggested that he contact the shipping co about this, but seeing how long it has been, i dont know what they'll do. As for calling me out, that's is how i took it, he posted the above statements and i havent recieved any pm's or such from him? dont you think it would be appropriate to contact me first, especially since it's been several weeks since the last pm's w/him in which i thought everything was taken care of.

you can see in the pic above the little tube is straight down like it should be, that was taken right before it was packaged with about a 1/4 of protective plastic wrapped around it? this would really be a shipping issue, and i feel he should try to go through them, as i have no control of this once it leaves my hands, that's why i wanted him to post pics of the box and all the protection it had? it was packaged well, but if they laid something real heavy on it thing i guess it could have bent the rods, and w/the amount of plastic i put around the plenum doubt it would puncture the box. Im willing to bet they stacked items on top of it. please check w/the shippers and see what they wil do.

If in a situation like that, you end up with a medium press, Red Loc-Tite will do the trick or if a Light/somewhat loose/very loose press then JB would have been fine. And Devcon makes all sorts of products ( epoxy )

Well i figured he'd post in here again? anyway he contacted the shipping co. and we have to fill out a claim, then they will come inspect the packaging and damage. Hopefully they'll take care of this as i know for sure it was damage due to shipping. I'm actually very surprised they were willing to do anything since it's been about a month

That's good! BTW just yesterday I received my rear deck wing that I ordered...came from the state of Washington via ups.....the box looked like it went right through the war zone....just crushed at all corners with loose tape ends....remarkably the wing was Ok..is was wrapped in bubble wrap. I should of taken a pic of the box before I opened it but I didn't.

Good Luck guys!

Just for the record I didn't start this thread to bash Adam (idwin) but to simply get some help. Like I said earlier in here I was trying to get it worked out. That's basically where we are at this point. I'm filling a claim through DHL right now for the damaged piece. When I first recieved the item and it was bent, with Adam's help I thought I was going to be able to fix it. Reason why there was such a lag when I first got until now. I actually tried to fix the thing with JB Weld. I contacted the manufacturer to see if will in fact work but didn't get a response, so I tried it anyway. I thought it was going to hold so that's where I left it with Adam.
Fast forward to when I actually had a chance to re-install it 04/23, nope it didn't hold. So, I emailed Adam trying to get it worked out since I have to shell out 60 bucks for Tony's piece. I know that Adam has a good little business going on here that's why I didn't post who I got it from because I'm sure it's an isolated incident. Unfortunately this thread got taken out of context. So, just to clear the air I don't have any problems with Adam (idwin) he is trying to help me get this resolved from Day 1 until now.
As far as the plenum is concerned, it's a great product. I can't wait to get the piece from Tony and get this installed on my Z. As a matter of fact, Adam aren't you doing pop charger shields and strut bars too? Hmmm might need to get those from you too.

Does DHL require the shipped item to be insured, in order to file a claim?

Iv started using DHL with good luck, they seem a little disorganized but it works

On their forms they say

Absent a higher shippment valuation, carriers liability is limited to 100.00 per shippment, or actual value, whichever is less.

Special or consequential damages are not recoverable

Then goes on to say in fine print:
Claims must be submitted within 9 months etc etc----andWritten notice of concealed damage or loss must be given to DHL within 15 days of delivery
