Exclamation Going custom, what mufflers to use?

I am going ot be doing a custom 2.5inch exhaust. what mufflers do you think would be best?

Im looking for inline mufflers, not one with tips already attached.

I was thinking Aero Turbines.

What do you all think?

Thanks,
John

Honestly, you'll get the same sound without aeroturbines. Ive tried it. They don't effect sound output/tone at all. I however have a set of aeroturbines, 2.5'' in, 4'' out tip if you want, 50 bucks + shipiping and its urs. Shipping will likely be 30 bucks.

Aeroturbines are incredibly ugly.

I say do a couple flowmasters with some really nice tips, sounds mean as hell and looks really clean. I think I would go this route if I was to do it all over again. You can get the flowmasters in stainless for pretty cheap. Magnaflow has a ton of tips that would look really good.

I have a flowmaster now and it sounds ****ing amazing. No rasp at ALL. However, its restrictive for Twin turbos. I'd suggest a manglaflow straight through. Borla XLs are nice too. Just be weary if they can even fit. The EVAP canister limits you to a few mufflers, unless you put themufflers deeper into the body and extend a tip out (like the FI design)

as mentioned I am not looking for a muffler with a tip. I am looking for a mid pipe (inline) muffler.
