Wink HKS Exhaust installed, more pictures!

More pictures of the exhaust on the Z. The oval exit pipe dimensions is 4" across and 2" vertical. The pipe thickness is a 1/4". Will let the exhaust "burn in" first before I record a sound clip for posting. My other pal who had it a few days before mine said to got a little louder and nicer!

Nice ride you got there!!!

You are aware that you can change your ECU because you have the Japan version of the Z33. here a link you can find some things:

Thanks for the compliment.
As for the ECU, I definitely need one as I need to get rid of the 180KMH speed limiter that comes with the JDM car.
In fact I am trying to make a decision between Mines ECU or HKS FCONS (not FCON VPRO, way out of my budget).

What I like about Mines is it resets the electronic throttle and HKS for its flexibility.

I can only say the car feels more torquey and smoother when accelerating based on the butt dyno. As for the higher RPM range, I haven't really driven the car to that level after the exhaust install. So can't comment.

I was given the info it gives 18HP (at crank I suppose) but no torque figures. As for dyno figures, I don't think I can get any at least for quite awhile. Where I come from, only has a few companies/shops that has the dyno machines and they charge rocket high prices for a minimum 3 runs.

Hmm... I will go with the mine's, but if you are not in a hurry to buy, I wait until HKS or Greddy come out with something more specific for the Z33.

P.S. The HKS FCONS is to generic.

One thing I'm not worried about getting an FCON is that the local tuner I go to is the official distributor for HKS Japan. They have a staff who has been trained by HKS in Japan to tune cars with the FCON. Only ones to do it in the SE.Asia region. What they'll do is get a base map from HKS then do a fine tuning based on the existing mods.

Nontheless, I will wait for a while more and see if better options come about.
