Probably about 2 months after i bought my '03 i was switching out the intake. When i opened up the top of my airbox it was full of leaves also. Leaves from no tree around my house. So my stupid **** and the dealers stupid **** didn't notice. The only thing i coudl think of is they were sucking up the stock Cold Air tube at the bottom of teh box. (off the ground) Had to be sapping HP because that box was half full.

When I installed the stillen intakes on my Z, the passenger side filter had a giant dust/pollen ball from some bush or plant wedged into part of the filter. The driver's side was just dirty... no weird foreign debris.
